Moose have long, dark brown hair, high humped shoulders, long slender legs and an inconspicuous tail. Their interesting faces exhibit huge pendulous muzzles, prominent ears and a large dewlap under their chin. Male moose are much larger than the females, with massive broadly flattened palmate antlers 4–5 feet wide.
Moose range throughout most of Canada and Alaska and south as far as Maine, Minnesota, Utah and Colorado. They are good swimmers and can move quickly in the water for hours at a time. When black flies and mosquitoes torment them, moose may submerge themselves or roll in a wallow to acquire a protective coating of mud.
The small moose can be ordered as either a fridge magnet or a brooch. The fridge magnet is a very powerful (1.5 lbs. strength) rare earth magnet that is securely attached to the glass moose. The brooch has a pin bonded onto the back of the glass for attaching it to your clothing. Each small moose is individually hand-crafted and may differ slightly from the photograph shown.
