These friendly birds are constantly active and acrobatically hopping and feeding upside down, clinging to the underside of twigs and branches in their search for food. Flocks of this tame and inquisitive bird spend the winter making the rounds of feeders in a neighborhood, and often travel in family groups. Largely resident from Alaska east across Canada to Newfoundland, south to northern California, northern New Mexico, Missouri, and northern New Jersey, They winter in the south to Maryland and Texas. Each chickadee is individually hand-crafted and may differ slightly from the photograph shown.
