Two Puffins
|
The Atlantic Puffin is the provincial bird of Newfoundland & Labrador and it is sometimes called the Sea Parrot or Baccalieu Bird. Puffins are very plentiful on Little Fogo Islands, north east of Fogo Island and Brimstone Head (generally recognized as one of the corners of the world by the members of the once popular Flat Earth Society). This canvas mat depicts a pair of Atlantic puffins resting on one of the numerous rocky outcrops and islands surrounding the waters of Changes Islands and Fogo.
